Our Family CoP presented this at the Interagency Children Conference in 2024 to a very good response! We are sharing it broadly during MH Awareness Month.

These Dialogue Guides are stakeholder-developed and based on the work of SAMHSA and the National Center for School MH in three convenings of agencies, states, counties, local MH projects, and family organizations.

Although the source document and Dialogue Guides are grounded in school-based MH, the Dialogue Starters are universally applicable to conversations among partners and potential partners critical to effective MH support.

Column 1 is a shortcut to the Dialogue Process and the rest of the material on the Padlet. For those who do not have the time to choose Dialogue Starters from among all those in the Dialogue Guide, we offer the two Dialogue Starters we explored in the Children’s Interagency Conference as a ready-made set.

The source document developed from the three SAMHSA/NCSMH convenings is in Column 2. The stakeholder created Dialogue Guides with Dialogue Starters around Practice Issues are in Column 3.

Column 4 shares stakeholder-created strategies to get people talking. Column 5 is a guide to hosting dialogue. Column 6 is a place to share your experience in hosting dialogue this month.
