The subject of domestic violence came up in questions and the evaluation comments in the Human Trafficking webinars this past March and again in May.
We know that domestic violence is all too common. We know that the families, providers, professionals, and others in our audience see it in their work regularly. We know the pain is not only physical.
In this webinar, participants will learn about the types and cyclic nature of domestic abuse, its effects on children, and the complex decisions victims of domestic abuse are forced to make daily.
We will also explore the overlap of domestic violence with other crimes and how perpetrators of abuse utilize various tactics of power and control to maintain their dominance.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to identify and help survivors they may encounter in their professional and personal lives.
