BEAVER COUNTY The Franklin Center
In the spirit of the original charge to our organization to create and access opportunities for people greatly impacted by adverse circumstances, we respond to the needs of individuals, families, and communities via relevant programming, information and referral services, community initiatives, and special events; and we continually adapt our services to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the people we serve
Franklin Center has a long history of serving Beaver County in various capacities. Founded in 1984 in response to the closing of Jones and Laughlin Steel’s Aliquippa Works, Franklin Center sought to connect displaced workers with needed social service programs. Throughout its history Franklin Center has provided small business development programs, workforce development programs, access to human services, supplemental public school education, and has spearheaded neighborhood restoration efforts.
