I recently published a book titled

The Epidemic of Teen Pregnancy, An American Tragedy

Hello. My name is Lisa Covitch, and I have recently published a book titled “ The Epidemic of Teen Pregnancy, an American Tragedy”. It contains information on prevention strategies and resources on what to do if a teen becomes pregnant.  It discusses a local teen parenting school program in my home town of Altoona, PA which was developed over 30 years ago to educate teen parents. This book also discusses some of the going trends whereby grandparents are raising the children of teen parents and the reasons why.  It talks about what both parents and schools can do to educate teenagers about the epidemic of teen pregnancy, so they don't become another statistic. This is a book that also contains some general case samples I have encountered while working as a social worker with teen mothers.  I think this book could be a valuable educational tool in a junior high or high school classroom setting.
