The mission of CLTCC is to promote effective transition for students with disabilities from school to adult life. The Council is open to everyone!! Website has meeting times etc and minutes of previous meetings.
It is comprised of parents, representatives from agencies and employers, and educators from the Intermediate Unit, School Districts, Vocational and Special Education, and Higher Education. Congress and the Pennsylvania legislature have recognized the needs of young people with disabilities by developing and passing a series of laws and regulations to mandate and facilitate transition services, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and others.
