Caregiver Resources!

Each November, we recognize and honor family caregivers - who are not only parents but the primary source of support for older adults and people with disabilities in the United States.   Providing care for a loved one in need can feel like a full-time job - so what about the caregivers who are balancing those responsibilities with other full- or part-time jobs?

This year, Mental Health America is highlighting how caregiving, workplaces, and mental health intersect. We know caregivers need support in balancing their personal and professional obligations, and employers need resources to better support their caregivers on staff.

For Caregivers:

· Check out our new resource When Caregiving Impacts Your Mental Health: 5 Tips for Talking to Your Employer - preparing yourself for the conversation can help it feel less intimidating.

· Our Getting Started: Caregivers Guide covers the basics of caregiving - it’s a great resource if you aren’t quite sure where to start.

· Our general Caregiver Resource Center has resources for a variety of mental health challenges that individuals might experience while caregiving.
