Child-Psych.org is a research-based informational blog about child psychology,renting, and childhood disorders. We provide reviews of the latest scientific findings on a number of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders in a style that is accessible torents, educations, and clinicians. Our mission is to become the most comprehensive online resource of science-supported information on child psychology.Child-Psych.org is the brain child of Dr. Nestor Lopez-Duran, a child clinical psychologist and neuroscience researcher specialized in childhood-onset mood disorder and neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr. Lopez-Duran saw a need for an informational website that would help close the gap between pediatric science and consumers. Bridges over this gap are usually controlled by large media outlets and key advocacy groups. That is, consumers are usually only exposed to research findings that are reported by national media or by lobbying advocacy groups that are interested in promoting specific lines of research.Instead, in Child-Psych we provide reviews of scientific findings that are not biased by anyrticular advocacy position. To this end, our editors keep commentary to a minimum and never make assertions from a position of authority without scientific support. Instead, we let the science speak for itself.
