City Music Center of Duquesne University

City Music Center of Duquesne University is a music school for children, teens and adults from the Pittsburgh and Tri-State area. It is one of 12 nationally accredited community music schools in the United States. Our professional faculty provide conservatory level training to all students regardless of talent or ability toy. Students take private instrumental lessons, eurhythmics and musicianship classes,rticipate in ensembles and play regularly in recitals during the year. Many of our students go on to university and conservatory programs, some win international competitions and several have performed as soloists with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. But most of our students are typical kids who are here because they love music. Come and visit us on Saturdays. You will see groups of happy, engaged students going from private lessons to musicianship classes, chamber music ensembles, handbell choir, voice class, guitar class, jazz ensemble and Suzuki groups.
