Franklin County Support Circles Initiative
Circles of Support is an initiative to engage the community in helping families move out of poverty, children succeed in school, and address systemic solutions to poverty.
Developed by Move the Mountain Leadership Center, Circles of Support links community members with families who are experiencing poverty.
The reciprocal relationships built in these groups help break down the isolation many low-income families experiences and add meaning to the lives of middle-income individuals and participating families alike.
Circles of Support began in Chambersburg in August 2008.
King Street Church 162 E King Street Chambersburg, PA 17201
Every Thursdays at 5:30 pm
Circles is a community. It is friends supporting each other on our journey. While we meet to work on our goals we also meet for fun activities and to do things that improve our health and overall wellness
Circles meetings occur weekly and include dinner and child care. Adults work on curriculum or plans while kids partake of pro-social activities. Our goal is that everyone enjoys their time at Circles!
