Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy for Bipolar Disorder Webinar WPIC PITT

All clinical and research professionals, students, and trainees as well as interested family members and individuals with mental illness.

Interpersonal and social rhythm therapy (IPSRT) is an empirically supported psychotherapeutic approach to the treatment of bipolar disorder.

This program will present the innovative approach to the management of bipolar disorder, developed by Dr. Frank and colleagues at the University of which has shown to be effective in preventing relapse of mania and depression and in treating acute episodes of bipolar depression.

This method combines a behavioral approach to increasing the regularity of daily routines (social rhythms) with an interpersonal approach to coping with the stresses of the bipolar illness itself, with interpersonal life stress and with social role problems.
