NAMI's greatest strength is the dedication of our grassroots leaders and members. We are the families, friends and individuals that serve to strengthen communities across the country.
Family-to-Family Program
Family-to-Family is a free, twelve-week educational course for family members and caregivers of individuals with mental illness. Family members learn about various mental illnesses, treatments, medications, and rehabilitation. Participants learn self-care as well as problem-solving and communication skills.
Family Support Group
The Family Support Group provides support for family members, caregivers, and loved ones of someone living with the everyday challenges of a mental illness. These sessions take place in an intimate, confidential setting and allow families to share their experiences with each other. This group lets you know that you are not alone.
The support group for families meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the NAMI of Erie County office.
No registration is required. Please call the NAMI of Erie County office if you have any questions about the session at (814) 456-1773 or e-mail us at info@namierie.org.
