NATIONAL CENTER ON Law and Elder Rights

The 2019 National Legal Training Curriculum is now available on the NCLER Legal Training page. This year's curriculum includes training on eight core Older Americans Act legal issue priority areas: 1) consumer protection; 2) economic security; 3) housing; 4) elder abuse; 5) guardianship; 6) decision making; 7) advance care planning; and 8) health care and long-term services and supports.

The 2019 Curriculum includes two free webcasts per month, one on Legal Basics and one focusing on more advanced legal concepts. Each webcast is accompanied by an original Chapter Summary, exploring the topic in more detail. Each training is recorded and shared on the Legal Training page. We send registration information prior to each webcast—please join our email list for more information.

As you explore the 2019 curriculum and previous legal trainings, please email us at NCLER@acl.hhs.gov for any suggestions of topics you would like to see included in future years.
