Racelighting

We are pleased to release a new scholarly brief today,

Racelighting in the Normal Realities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

We conceptualize “racelighting” as a form of gaslighting affecting the daily, normalized experiences and realities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). We define racelighting as “the process whereby People of Color question their own thoughts and actions due to systematically delivered racialized messages that make them second guess their own lived experiences [and realities] with racism."  We would like to thank the peer-reviewers who served as reviewers on the brief. We are also grateful to those who were able to attend the Racelighting webinar.

You can view the webinar on YouTube here.
