Suicide Survivor Support Group Berks County
This group’s mission is to provide a safe place for survivors to share their experiences (thoughts and feelings).
If you have lost a loved one by suicide the pain, shock, and confusion can seem unbearable; you are not alone. Suicide loss survivors share a singular bond.
While each situation is unique, survivors can experience similar feelings, questions, and complex grief.
Support groups are designed to help a group of people that share similar experiences.
It is through the sharing of our stories that we can better understand and heal while riding the roller coaster that is grief.
In this group, you will not be pressured to talk, share your story, or grief.
Therapeutic information is offered to survivors to assist in healthy coping and healing skills.
Group often provides an opportunity for survivors to learn from the struggles and victories of others in the group.
The suicide bereavement process is difficult for people to “navigate” making the topic taboo or even stigmatized.
If you choose to discuss your loss, speaking can allow other group members to offer insight and advice based on their own unique experiences.
This group is ongoing and open to the public.
Survivors of Suicide is free to all and group members are welcome to attend at their rate of comfortability.
This group is provided free to attendees courtesy of the Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance.
Please take into consideration the depth of this topic when considering bringing individuals under the age of 14.
Support groups meet at Clear Water Wellness, 4 Park Plaza, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
We are located on the first floor.
Once you enter our hallway, the group meets at the first door on your left.
